The GRAA board is seeking new members!

We recently said goodbye with gratitude to two board members, Greg Morvillo and Melissa Kuper, who dedicated their passion and time to our mission. In addition, we also extend our deep appreciation to Charlie Ornstein, whose tenure on the board will conclude in the coming months.

As we seek to replace board members who reach their term limits and work to strengthen our impact and community engagement, we are seeking talented individuals with the following skills and interests:

  • Communications

  • Social media

  • Community relations

  • Survey management

  • Legal skills

  • Website management

  • Registration management

Please express your interest at this link: https://registration.teamsnap.com/form/4223

Board seats could include community relations director, director of media and director of communications. Once we evaluate expressions of interest, we will interview candidates and make selections. The exact responsibilities and titles of the positions will be dependent upon the board’s needs, the individuals who apply and their availability. All board members serve as liaisons to certain GRAA sports.

If you have questions, please send them to info@graa.org.

Please fill out this form to express interest by Feb. 29.

Thank you,

The GRAA Board

Team Snap Transition

Glen Ridge Athletic Association is excited to announce that we will be transitioning all our sports over to Team Snap. Based on parent, coach, and commissioner feedback we felt that this is the right time to transition and the right choice for our sports management software.

Beginning with 2023-2024 winter sports each new registration will be on TeamSnap:

Basketball
Floor Hockey
Soccer Winter Clinic
Softball Winter Clinic
Volleyball
Wrestling

What Do I Need To Do?

If you already have a TeamSnap account, you will be able to continue to use it to sign up for GRAA sports.. If you do not have a TeamSnap account you will create one the next time you sign your child up for a GRAA sport.

Will my registration history from Sports Engine be transferred to TeamSnap?

Unfortunately, no. GRAA’s Sports Engine will be accessible until February 2024. At that time all data will be archived and stored by GRAA.

Download the TeamSnap app: iPhone / Android

24 HOUR RULE

Any player or parent/guardian who is upset with a coach, for any reason, should wait 24 hours before approaching any coach, sport commissioner or GRAA sport liaison with complaints. This rule is intended to let parents and coaches have a cooling/calming down period. After that time, the first thing to do is to discuss the problem with the coach or assistant coach. If necessary, the sport commissioner and/or board sport liaison may be included. It is the GRAA board’s opinion that, after waiting the required period of time, everyone will be able to discuss any issue in a calmer, more professional manner. Please visit contact.graa.org for contact info
